I went to Safeway to use the expiring CAT from CPK pizzas. This was a very confusing transaction. So the cashier explained it this way. I had a just for U personalized deal that made all candy bars ring up at $0.45. Then instead of the B2G2 deal, the candies were ringing at b3g1 and the get 1 took of $0.99 instead of $0.45. So it made out to $0.36 for four candy bars. On the first transaction the candy coupon automatically took off $0.99 when it was scanned in. Then in the second transaction the cashier caught the actually price and took off $0.18 instead. Either way I spend only $0.70 on more than $10 worth of goodies.

I didn't plan the shopping trip well because all the extra overage made my total zero out. The cashier manually entered the purex target coupon to $0.69 to make the error message (total cannot be below zero) go away. I finally finished using the $5 gift card I received from the KY deal. I was even able to cash out the remaining $0.45 balance on it. I got a $5/2 Revlon Beauty Tools CAT. So I have a few months to go back and get more beauty tools.

I had so many problems with the cashier today. The coupon policy definitely came in handy. She claims she's never seen it before and made a photocopy of it to show her supervisor. We had to do the transactions a few times because the total wasn't what I expected. I saved about $16 worth of mistakes. I was able to get my rainchecked Motrin PM which was on clearance but was also on sale. So I ended up making $1 on each because the item produced +UP rewards.

I was very lucky to find the spring beauty guide at the cosmetics counter. The store I went to today seems to be the only one in the area that puts out the coupon books where you can easily find them. Once again Asha got into the candy before we even walked out of the store. Instead on sleeping we went shopping at the 24 hour Walgreens. You'd think that since it's open all day, everyday, the store would have lots of product in stock but NOPE. They were out of Clearasil face wash, Purex complete crystals softener, Dial Nutriskin lotion, and Always pads. Hopefully it wasn't a shelf clearer. To add to my frustration the cashier would let me buy the right guard deodarants with the bogo coupon. Says his manager won't allow it. Showed him the coupon policy but he refused. I had to void all the deodorant off the transaction. I usually go into the store with couple different scenarios but all major items were out of stock. Then when you try to figure out a scenario in store the out of pocket is a little bit more than what you're hoping to pay or you only get a few items with the RR you're spending. I had a bad time but Asha won...she got icecream for being patient with me.

I made sure to look for the razor with the peelie on it. The cashier was super cool about my coupons. When she scanned in the deodorant only the one with gray top rang up $2 but she adjusted all the others from $4.99 to $2. When I purchased the revitalens at Rite Aid the $3 coupon beeped and had to manually entered in but there was no beepage at CVS. I'm all for hassle free transactions. I've got a stock of Anti-Aging Product. It's producing register rewards all month long. I was unlucky with the cereal cups. I went shopping three different days. Got about $95 worth of merchandise for $10.50 (+ tax). Started with $10 RR and rolled it into ten different transactions. Have $9 RR left for next time (three $3 RR from baby magic lotion). I found coupons inside the Anti-Aging Product. And I got lucky with one of the Schick Hydro Razor having a peelie on it. Funny thing was I forgot to use it at the store until the next day. Nowadays with all the shelf clearing at the beginning of the week, I call to check the store if they have the sale items in stock before I go. With the rising fuel prices (almost $4/gallon), savy shoppers can't be running to the store everytime something goes on sale.
